What you might have missed in May
May was a busy month for the ITP Team
On May 25th, GDPR went into effect in the European Union, impacted businesses and consumers all over the world. Our CEO, Paul Hager, walks you through a few of the basics in the first part of our GDPR series. Whether you serve clients or customers from the EU or not, now is the time to start thinking very seriously about how GDPR can and will affect your business moving forward. Reach out to ITP for more information or to work through a detailed GDPR assessment from Microsoft. We can help.
Our team also enjoyed a fantastic week down in the Big Easy at the annual Nutanix .NEXT conference in mid-May. We returned to Wisconsin with a number of takeaways. Nutanix continues to lead the way in hyper-converged infrastructure at the enterprise level. Their hardware and software portfolio is also growing rapidly. At .NEXT, Nutanix announced the launch of a number of new products and features within their environment, including new software to help channel partners keep public cloud costs down, a “time-machine” database, and their first ever SaaS solution (Beam). You can also check out our hilarious video of attendees giving us their best Wisconsin accents. #YouBetcha it was fun!

And in other Digital News
Last month, it was announced that Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) will acquire the cloud technology service Plexxi. While the deal won’t close until late July, we’re very excited to see how this will help Plexxi and HPE grow in the cloud space. With the combination of Plexxi’s network technology and HPE’s sheer global presence and software-defined infrastructure, end users will benefit from the increased competition in the market.
